Edit: note that the production card won't have the four LEDs soldered in; those would be optional add-ons by users. There will be one big blinky LED to cover all normal I/O functions. The firmware will be updated to drive the big LED before production, but right now that isn't enabled.
Edit 2: The CPLD firmware has been updated to drive the big blinky LED (a while ago, forgot to update this post). So reads and writes trigger the common activity light now.
