Subdirectories

Postby hatta » Sat Nov 05, 2011 4:03 pm

Hi, I've been getting familiar with my CFFA3000. Almost everything works great, but I have one question. Are subdirectories on the USB/CF media supposed to be supported? I can only see disk images on the root of the flash. Everything I put on there works fine. Subdirectories would really help me stay organized though. Is this a feature that's planned?

Hatta,

In the initial 3.0 release of firmware sub-directories are not supported. This feature is near the top of the list to be added.
I don't have a time estimate yet to give you other than it will be more than a few weeks but less than a few months.

Also be aware than there currently is a total image file limit of 256 files that may be accessed by the CFFA3000 from the
media installed.

BTW, if you plan to place lots of images on a flash media device, be sure to use FAT32, because it has no restriction on
how many files may be placed in the root directory whereas FAT16 does have a limit.

Thanks, I'm glad it's not just me then.
