Possible problem with A9M0107

Postby hatta » Sun Nov 06, 2011 3:14 pm

I have a ROM 3 IIgs with an A9M0107 drive and a brand new CFFA3000. I noticed today that the drive is no longer working. This is the first time that I tried to use it since I got the CFFA, and the drive always worked in the past.

I found another guy on AtariAge with a bad A9M0107, and he just got a CFFA3000 too. His symptoms sound exactly like mine.

I don't really have any clues or ideas as to what could be wrong here, but I thought you should know there might be a problem.

Is this on an Apple IIgs? If so, check Control Panel > Slots and make sure Slot 6 is set to "Disk Port" (rather than "Your Card").

When I set slot 6 to "Your Card" I see the same brief blink on the Disk II in-use light that you (or the thread you linked to) are describing.

(My A9M0107 is working great...I have imported a bunch of 140K disk images from it, to the CFFA3000.)

Cheers,

Ah, you're right. I was confused because my 3.5" drive worked, but apparently that's on another slot. Thanks for the help troubleshooting.
