Karateka (works) not working

I have most all programs running on the cffa 3000, but the karateka I have (cracked by the racketeers) doesn't work. The crack screen loads, you hit a key, a character 7 shows in the upper right hand corner, and the speaker beeps a low tone. Then the crack screen displays again.

My config:
Platinum Apple //e
Slot 0: 80col/64k (late model)
slot 1: Grappler + (dont really need)
slot 2: Super Serial Card
slot 3: Clone z80 board for CP/M
slot 4: Mockingboard 1a
slot 5: Duodisk drive controller
slot 6: (nothing, cffa disk II emu)
slot 7: cffa 3000

The CFFA switches are all off.
Fast RWTS is off.

Im placing karateka in slot 6 disk 1.

I boot to the "hd" prodos from the cffa/usb using prosel/8.

then exit to BASIC and type pr#6.

Anything I might be doing wrong?

Kevin
This program previously worked with the cffa in my old IIe (non-enhanced).

Rich and I were helping someone else with a Karateka image a little while ago - seems there are some out there that don't agree with the CFFA3000. Try karateka.do.gz or karateka.dsk.gz on Asimov.

I have tried both of those images on Asimov. I will pull some cards and see what happens.

By the way, I just tried the two disk version that Brutal Deluxe cracked, and it works perfectly from the CFFA3000. I wonder what the Racketeers did with their crack that was unusual. When I boot either the dsk or do version of the racketeers cracked karateka, I get the crack banner, the letter P, a tone from the speaker, a slight pause, and then the crack banner again (ad infinitum).

I downloaded the working version from here:

In case it matters, although I didn't do it for this test, the Grappler+ and the z80 card were pulled from the machine, and a ramfactor III with 1MB of ram was installed in slot 1.

The Racketeers image is broken.
They are making modifications to the code in a copy of the boot PROM, but the addresses that they touch have completely different meanings in the CFFA boot PROM, resulting in a crash.
Must use a different image. I have a file-based version of Karateka that runs in ProDOS.
