It's been a while since we heard anything about the new firmware for the CFFA 3000? How's that coming along?

We are still estimating the end of the 2012 for the new firmware release.
It will contain small bug fixes, some slight speed improvements, and support for directories to make image management easier.

There is some excellent progress being made over the Thanksgiving holiday.

- Directory support to 8 levels is making good progress
- Read access speed ups, and some GS specific speed ups too
- Some bug fixes for games
- Some UI improvements to help minimize confusion

Still on target to release by end of the year.

The current shipping version of firmware is 3.0.2.
The new upcoming version is 3.1.

That's still the plan. Vacations are converging, so we're all able to devote time to it again. (The last sprint was over the Thanksgiving holiday.) I got a new drop of code to test just last night.

CFFA3000 beta firmware available - now with folder support

The beta firmware for folder supprt has been released. This version is feature complete, so this is really a shakedown cruise for folks to try out. Download here:

If you do upgrade and for some reason want to go back to the pre-folder days, the included 3.0.3 version is a seamless downgrade for you to use. A firmware update bug was discovered and fixed in all versions in this package, so 3.0.3 is the original stuff with that bug squashed.
