Dimensions of the CFFA3000 to build a housing?

Postby Apple2Games » Sun Sep 29, 2013 11:28 am

Hello:

I am wondering if there are dimensions available for the CFFA3000 remote as to be able to model a housing for it. I don''t currently have the device to measure and would like to have a case modeled & 3D printed before arrival. The CFFA3000 will be used on machine in a home/educational environment so I'm thinking an exposed board might not be the best.

If a CAD model is available I'd be more than willing to pay for it. Even better yet... if there were cases available I'd skip all the modeling & printer cost and gladly pay for one :)

Thanks

Dave

The CFFA3000 inserts into the internal expansion ports of your Apple II. The Apple II case is the case.

Here is a quick drawing of the important dimensions for the remote board.
The z distance from bottom of board to highest point on top of switch is about .5in.

If you need more information than supplied here let me know.

I see I forgot the specify the mounting holes sizes.
4x mounting holes have .14" Inner diameter

These holes will accommodate up to a #6 screw.

Apple2Games, did you ever make one of these housings? How about posting pics? :) Are you able to print another? I'd be interested in one, depending on cost and how they turned out. Or alternatively, I'm not sure how universal the model file would be, but my boss plays with 3D printing for fun so maybe he'd print one for me if I had the model.
