Unable to load basic.system - Apple IIe Enhanced

I could use a bit of guidance as I'm not sure what the problem is. For the last 12 months I've had my CFFA3000 card installed in an Apple II+ and booting off a CF card in slot 7 (from a PO image). On the weekend I received an Apple IIe Enhanced. When I install the CFFA 000 with existing CF card from my Apple II+ into the Apple IIe Enhanced (slot 7) and power it up I get the message:
Prodos 8 v1.9 16/7/90
** unable to load basic.system **
Hardware wise the Apple IIe enhanced works fine, it just does not seem to be able to boot from the PO image on the CF card.
Would anyone be able to point me in the right direction to correct the issue?
