CFFA for IIc

Hi Rich and all,

I was tooling around the net and I happened to come across an article for the Laser 128. As I read through the article, it mentioned an Expansion Box which could hold two Apple II cards. It also had photographs of the box. The problem was that it uses a Centronics Connector.

I thought maybe the connector could be changed so that the box could be connected to the IIc disk drive port and then a CFFA card could be used.

I figured I'd toss that out to all and see what everyone thinks. :)

Best Regards,
Steven

Hi Rich and all,

I found one! An expansion box for a Laser 128. Now, unless you've actually seen one of these you would not beleive what the interface is.

It's a blade connector that fits into an expansion slot in an Apple II, II+, or IIe. There is a slot built into the left side of the 128 to accept it, and it leads into the motherboard.

Now what I need are suggestions as to how to convert this into an expansion box for a IIc.

I'm going to get pictures up here soon.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Steven
