I see "12x" compact flash cards for sale. Do these run any faster on a CFFA card than the "normal" parts?

Torgo,

I don't think so. Especially at 1Mhz.
Even in accelerated GS's there is too
much overhead in the firmware/driver code to have a faster CF card make a difference.
