Need ProDOS Disks

Postby Sqeezebox » Wed Feb 15, 2006 4:04 pm

Hello there everyone,

I realize that this may not be the best place to post such a Topic, however I am desparate! I aquired an Apple IIe some time ago and have never been able to do much with it as it did not come with any software IE the ProDOS disks. This has dissapointed me time and time again, and I would very much like to aquire either ProDOS or DOS 3.3 system disks! If anyone could help me please reply!
Thank you!

The search for Apple IIe System Disks

Squeezebox,

The best place I know of to find ProDos, or Dos 3.3 Disks is up on eBay.
Most times you can buy a set of one or the other for a very reasonable price. They usually have more ProDos disks for sale than they do Dos 3.3.

Best Regards,

Diskette images (and transfers)

You can find all sorts of DOS and ProDOS diskette images on Asimov (ftp://ftp.apple.asimov.net/pub/apple_II/images/masters/). You can then transfer them down to the Apple to reconstitute actual floppies. See:
http://adtpro.sourceforge.net/bootstrap.html

Postscript: the ADTPro project no longer only works with the Super Serial card. You can also use the IIgs' native serial port, an older Apple II's cassette ports, or the Uthernet (http://a2retrosystems.com) card to do transfers.
