Sounds on disk access

We're playing with the option to whap the speaker when the disk gets accessed. It's kind of a cute novelty, and gives some sense of when the drive is busy. Does that sound interesting to anyone? Is it worth adding?

You mean the real sound like in "Apple 2 Disk Drive Sound Simulator"? Or just a sound on the Apple Speaker ? Well in both case, it could be fun :D

I was imagining digitized Disk ][ sounds, but no, that's not exactly practical. :-) It's just speaker tweaks, hitting $C030. And, this is actually not during Disk ][ access - since the 6502 is completely engaged in drive operations in that case. This is just noise during SmartPort/CF access.

If we could change the sound behavior (sound ON/OFF) and, why not, to have the capability to change by our own sound, ie: just some hexa code to put in the memory ==> it "sounds" uneasy ;)

But it's worth adding the sound :D
