Support for CF with Apple Partition map?

Postby roughana » Wed Apr 29, 2015 6:03 am

I have been using a CF card as a boot device for my PB1400 (ie partitioned with Apple partition map; HFS formatted partitions)
The CFFA3000 does not recognise the existing partitions and wants to create default ProDOS 32MB partitions.

Is it possible to support mounting (HFS/Prodos) partitions identified from an Apple partition map?

Thanks,
Andrew

Hi Andrew,

There is currently no such support. It looks like it might be feasible to add support, if it could (say) mount all the Apple_PRODOS partitions, followed by all the Apple_HFS partitions. (Configuration would be harder -- it would have to be stored in the 3K's EEPROM and probably associated with media by a hash of the partition map.)
