Emulators that work with CFFA volumes

Postby tom » Wed May 31, 2006 12:35 pm

It was noted previously that KEGS works with the 32MB "po" files used by the CFFA. AppleWin and Oasis use the "hdv" hard disk format. In a private communication, Andy McFadden pointed out that the ".hdv" format is exactly the same as the ".po". My CFFA “po” files work with both Oasis and AppleWin when they are renamed to “hdv”. Note: I had success only with the latest (5/7/2006 AppleWin1.13.1) version of AppleWin.

However, with my current setup, of the three emulators, I can only get KEGS to work with the simulated DOS created by DOS Master.

I've also tried applewin and when dosmaster starts to load, it reboots the emulator. Not sure why. Yeah, Kegs appears to work the best.
